About This Role
Textron Systems’ New Orleans, LA office is seeking a flexible team player who is organized and action-oriented to join our team as SYO Program Staff Assistant. This role will report to the Vice President (VP) of the Sea Domain, providing support to the shipyard operations and leadership team assisting in a variety of activities including:
Responsibilities
- Serve as centralized hub of important information, and ensure the information is appropriately communicated across all shipyard functional teams
- Plan and conduct VIP and Customer visits including establishing and communicating roles and responsibilities, reservations, briefing material, catering, travel, security access, and logistics
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies, equipment, refreshments, and meeting materials
- Plan, manage, and conduct shipyard events
- Coordinate shipyard change management and communications involving facility projects, personnel transitions, office and parking assignments, and community engagements
- Interfacing with senior management, cross organizations, and internal and external customers which requires considerable tact and diplomacy.
- Creating and modifying correspondence, talking points, presentations, spreadsheets, and other business documents to support overall business planning and proposal efforts.
- Coordinating meetings, conferences, and travel. Creating travel itineraries and completing expense reports in Concur.
- Scheduling, organizing, and attending meetings to include setting up conference rooms, documenting notes, and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Coordinating adherence to deadlines and completion of reports and projects within the team.
- A desire to learn and understand our business to be able to exercise a high degree of discretion and decision-making to achieve objectives.
- Working closely with others to learn and anticipate needs to resolve administrative issues.
- Contributing to the achievement of established business objectives and identifying areas of improvement to initiate and establish process efficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
