Job Description

The Advisor will collaborate with Pure Strategies staff to deliver top-quality consulting services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working independently, performing analytical tasks, collaborating and communicating with others, and producing high-quality work.This position focuses on corporate climate consulting, corporate strategy, and other sustainability services for clients.


What You’ll Be Doing

You will be helping some of the most forward-thinking companies in the world develop and implement ambitious sustainability tactics and targets.You will work with a team of leading consultants, researching industry and technology trends, analyzing data, and pulling together these insights to advise leading businesses.


Required Capabilities

  • Experience supporting corporate sustainability strategy, packaging assessments, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, water footprinting, and material health a plus.
  • Expertise in developing greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories for science-based targets and other related GHG accounting efforts for businesses.
  • Experience with corporate business processes, including product design, manufacturing, sourcing and supply chain management, marketing, and business strategy.
  • Working knowledge of carbon accounting standards (e.g., ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and understanding of carbon neutrality standards).
  • Detailed knowledge of climate change, greenhouse gas emissions accounting, and sustainability.


Project Management and Analytical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for detailed analysis and the ability to produce well-organized and presented deliverables.
  • Strong aptitude for critical, qualitative, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High competence in Excel, database, and other data analysis and visualization software.


Requirements

  • Graduate degree in scientific, business, or related field a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field (e.g., science or engineering) or a related field.
  • Experience in one or more of these industries: agriculture, food and beverage, apparel, home and personal care, retail, biotech, or related industries.
  • At least three years of experience in a consulting or corporate sustainability role.
  • Commitment to an equitable and just economy


This is a salaried full-time position. Compensation and exact job responsibilities will be based on education and experience, with the pay range estimated at $88,000-$130,000. Pure Strategies provides paid time off, partial health insurance reimbursement, generous retirement contributions, and other competitive benefits.This position requires residence in the continental United States. This is a telecommuting role since the company employs a virtual office environment.


Work Environment

Pure Strategies team members both collaborate on projects and have a high degree of autonomy.The Sustainability Advisor must be able to deliver highly effective results working from a home office in a virtual team environment. Periodic travel is required for this position to client sites, industry events, and for semiannual company meetings.
