Responsibilities Provides direct support of customer requirements generated from the depot maintenance repair programs and activities within the scope of the industrial support site. Monitors reports and listings for re-warehousing actions improving material availability for production customer and provides input to Distribution Process Worker Expeditors (DPWE) for warehousing and storage actions. Responsible for material coordination and distribution support for assigned urgent, critical or high priority items, and projects which can affect work stoppage. Applies distribution principles to include research and query of material within the industrial support site. Analyzes and resolves discrepancies and prevents recurrence. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supply Technician your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after- competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Performing services dealing with inventory control, storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization. Performing material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance or production shops. Analyzing and planning areas on the basis of handling problems, exits, stock turnover, physical characteristics of area and safety considerations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Additional Information Work Environment: The work is performed in both an office area or in an industrial/warehouse environment. The work involves moderate risks and discomfort and requires safety precautions. May be required to spend considerable time in hangar and ramp areas with exposure to various weather conditions. Safety shoes are required. Subject to eye and noise hazards which require the use of safety devices to protect hearing and eyesight in hazardous areas. May be exposed to strong odors, fumes from paint, hazardous chemicals, dirt, grease, etc. used in industrial areas. Regular use of safety equipment is required.
