Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Army Material Management System Technician for the Logistics department for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command's Fleet Management Expansion at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Responsibilities Prepare, submit and track Product Quality Deficiency Reports. Review Battalion repair parts status and provide recommendations and/or initiate solutions for repair part requests. Manage various reports and files in accordance with the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Open, close, and change the status of work orders within the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) database. Dispatch unit equipment and vehicles to authorized licensed operators. Close out equipment dispatches as equipment is returned, ensuring usage data is posted in the GCSS-Army. Drive a motor vehicle to pick up, transport and deliver repair parts and supply items to supported activities. Coordinate with other Supply Technicians to provide logistical support with Bench/Shop Stock, Diagnostics Mandatory Parts Listings and Essential Repair Part Stockage List. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assist in all repair part stock management functions utilizing an automated supply inventory database; Process work orders; Dispatch unit equipment and/or vehicles; Incorporate data from multiple software applications to produce various documents or spreadsheets; Communicate with customers regarding the status of supply requests; and Conduct research on supply deficiencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
