Supply Chain Planning Manager

As the Manager you are responsible for managing the Essex Manufacturing Production Planning and Procurement teams. This position is responsible for interfacing with Corporate Supply Chain to ensure production plans are translated into facility schedules, that the materials used in the schedules are purchased at competitive price and are available to meet department’s established weekly committed outputs.


Shift and Schedule:
This is a full time position that will primarily work 1st Shift (M-F from roughly 8am-4:30pm). Thier schedule is flexable as necessary.

Compensation: This is a salaried role paid on a Bi-Weekly Basis

What you will do:

  • Supervise and develop a team of 10 individuals with varying responsibilities within the site Planning and Procurement team.
  • Develop a safety and quality focus among direct reports.
  • Develop a problem-solving mindset using current KDP tools such as PPS, A3, RRN.
  • Provide daily dispositions and resolutions to production schedule and output issues.
  • Manage Dashboards, and Scorecards relative to cost, productivity and on-time delivery.
  • Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Monitor and adjust weekly manufacturing schedules with staff to ensure team meets sales demand.
  • Build a collaborative relationship between the buying/scheduling team and all other departments at the site, other production sites and multi-site teams.
  • Manage corrective actions regarding supplier quality defects.
  • Coach and nurture career growth with each individual, identifying high potential candidates.
  • Develop raw material ordering practices which adequately supports site production while operating with a “Lean” mentality
  • Develop tools to acquire, trend and analyze efficient production output.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast requirements working with Production Managers to ensure accurate staffing, and materials exist to meet demand.
  • Drive improvements to positively impact the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s),
  • Work with Corporate and other site Planning, Supply Chain and Inventory teams to ensure consistency in processes.
  • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.
  • Build a high performing team through strength and opportunity analysis resulting in individual performance plans.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of SAP transactional processes.
  • Ability to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation and focused attention to detail.
  • Understanding of inventory control, purchasing, and scheduling methods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a broad variety of departments.
  • Organizational and customer service skills essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred plus minimum 2 years’ experience in Management, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated management and training experience of materials management systems.
