The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) will report to the Business Unit General Manager and will be the responsible/accountable leader for sourcing, purchasing, receiving, handling, and issuing material to the shop floor. The SCM will manage the Purchasing and Material Handling teams and partner with Strategic Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations leaders to develop a Supply Chain Strategy that will contribute to the overall BU Performance Excellence goals. This is a new role for the BU and early work will be focused on process definition and refinement, KPI baselining and tracking, inventory management, and team building.

To be considered for the Supply Chain Manager, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • 5 years of supply chain management and supervision experience
  • 5 years of experience (usually post-education) in the field of materials management and supply chain including contracting, and working with suppliers
  • 5 years of experience with negotiations, government contracts·
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Business, Material Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or related fields

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee Shipping function to ensure timely and compliant material transportation
  • Directly manage the Purchasing and Material Handling teams
  • Oversee timely and accurate kitting and material provisioning to enable AI&T schedule adherence
  • Manage Supplier performance and takes actions to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant business Supply Chain policies and requirements
  • Monitor Supplier lead times and drives Supplier On-Time In Full performance
  • Supports the Director of Strategic Advancement with Strategic Supplier selection
  • Plan and manage inventory and WIP movement to support SVBU Working Capital objectives
  • Establish and track Supply Chain KPI’s to inform Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Provide periodic material shortage reports to internal stakeholders as part of Supplier risk management
  • Ensure timely release of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders to support program schedules
  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure timely release of drawings / part numbers / BOMs in PLM

Salary Range:

  • Salary negotiations start at $135,000
