Supply Chain Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Dakota Bodies is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Professional ready for their next challenge. Must be an energetic, motivated and results oriented leader able to build a team and drive change. Cross functional knowledge and hands on experience in a complex manufacturing environment are a must as you will own purchasing, receiving, stockroom, floor inventory management, and fulfillment of service parts orders.

Supply Chain Manager will:

  • Utilizes and practices methods of continuous improvement.
  • Develops procedures to handle the implementation of engineering changes for purchased parts for the plant, suppliers to provide for orderly transition in the flow of materials and production.
  • Utilize a cycle count process to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Deliver strategic plans for deploying supply chain improvement processes and procedures and be capable of communicating them.
  • Educate and develop Associates to increase their capabilities and job performance as well as to follow and maintain established company policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of inventory budgets for the purpose of establishing acceptable inventory levels upon which performance can be measured and operating controls affected. Provides guidance to plant personnel for the management of inventories at approved operating levels.
  • Directs the preparation of and issuance of purchase orders and change notices.
  • Provide ongoing management of the portfolio of Supply Chain processes, driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Corporate Commodity Teams to develop supply chain programs and strategies which contribute to enterprise goals – consistent with the overall corporate strategy, while considering supply chain constraints.
  • Build business and functional requirements into a documented supply chain plan including structure and system. Drive the deployment, ongoing management, review, and analysis of the supply chain plan to support business growth and financial objectives.
  • U ses a variety of skills and techniques to create incentives, tools and influence multiple stakeholders to meet targets.
  • Develops and implements visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
  • Assists as required in resolving this disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
  • Assists engineering to maintain an accurate BOM and AVL to support the manufacturing system.
  • Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
  • Reviews purchase requisitions and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Manage complex workstreams with cross-functional stakeholders, including gathering and synthesizing KPIs, supporting the operation across multiple sites and product platforms.
  • Provides for the maintenance of purchased materials and supplies inventories to assure the availability of materials and parts required to fulfill the plant’s ongoing need for these parts.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Assists Plant Engineering and Plant Quality in addressing supplier quality issues.
  • Identify and explain budget & service level variances, identify corrective actions.
  • Designs and develops systems and procedures to implement purchasing, inventory control and traffic which assures the availability of parts, materials and transportation for an uninterrupted flow of materials for production in accordance with delivery schedules, while maintaining minimum inventories.
