L3Harris -Aeromet is a Division of Integrated Mission Systems Segment with its main office located in Tulsa, OK. L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems.

This person will engage in a high degree of collaboration and communication with engineering, program managers, finance, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other supply chain departments. This person will work with key internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing and procurement needs. This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for full spectrum of buying and procurement lifecycle management including MRP analysis, PO placement and supply reporting for multiple programs. Make sure all procurements meet and are in compliance with corporate and L3Harris policies and procedures

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for Performance relating to quality, cost, and schedule for Purchase Orders
  • Executing and supporting, where required, negotiations of purchase orders
  • Assisting less experienced buyers with resolving problems.
  • Review Statements of Work, Proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends and maintains necessary records.
  • Locate hard to find parts/Assist with PO placement
  • Negotiate costs and lead times
  • Effectively interact with other functional groups, Quality, Operations, Engineering, Production, Finance.
  • Manage Subcontracts placed with Suppliers (Internal and external)

Qualifications:

  • Great communication and Negotiating skills
  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong Proficiency in SAP
  • Government Contract/SubContract experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR, including the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
  • Effectively manage multiple competing priorities
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Clearance is desired
