Supplier Quality Manager

Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that each component or finished product sourced has been correctly manufactured. They will perform detailed inspections to make sure products meet physical and performance standards, safety and legal requirements, and company policies and specifications. This also involves the qualification of potential new suppliers, verifying their quality systems and standards meet our clients’ needs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Drafts and recommends procedures to establish or improve quality standards, process controls, and inspection/prevention methods.
  • Audits supplier’s quality, safety, legal and ethical compliance in alignment with the company and its customers’ expectations. Works with suppliers on Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Implements and maintains quality systems throughout the supply chain to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel (~25%) to meet the client’s Supply Chain needs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality or related field of study
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Performs well in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel capabilities
  • At least 5 years in Supplier Quality Management roles
  • Electronic component manufacturing experience
