Job Description
Summary The Lead sourcing specialist will drive process and solutions both internally and with suppliers to ensure capacity, readiness and raw material are positioned to support future schedules. You will monitor successful execution by supplier, apply early risk identification techniques to deliveries, and coordinate with functional experts to resolve those problems before impact to internal customers. In addition, you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials according to production schedules.


Roles And Responsibilities


  • Actively participate in supplier performance reviews
  • Apply lean processes to resolve part and supplier constraints
  • Apply early risk identification techniques to deliveries
  • Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge
  • Lead digitization effort of standard work, supplier engagement, and ongoing metric to drive sourcing productivity
  • Engage suppliers in routinely reviewing turnaround times versus contract and updating and identifying root cause corrective actions as needed
  • Own commits and improvement plans at part number level and leveraging order book reviews
  • Drive raw material reviews and ensure supplier data integrity
  • Identify and execute action plans around part number and supplier constraint
  • Work with cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, commercial leads and fulfillment to identify critical delivery problems
  • Responsible for overall supplier delivery health and driving supplier delivery strategy
  • Drive execution of new product introduction, design changes, and transition plans at assigned suppliers


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years' experience in Operations, Delivery/Fulfillment, Supplier Relations, Supply Chain, and/or Manufacturing Engineering )
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Operations, Delivery/Fulfillment, Supplier Relations, Supply Chain, and/or Manufacturing Engineering.

The salary range for this position is $88,200.00 to $147,000.00 The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
