The Supervisor/Compliance & Administration is primarily responsible for establishing and leading comprehensive information technology (IT) compliance and administrative activities. Additional responsibilities include the administration, organization and direction of personnel and activities relating to general administration, general computing controls, budget processing, Information Services (IS) contract administration, technology recovery and department standards and practices.
POSITION DIMENSIONS
The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for up to five employees. The incumbent frequently exchanges information with professional level personnel, members of corporate management teams, department managers, outside consultants and contractors and infrequently exchanges information with officers. This individual should be able to effectively communicate in both a technical and non-technical manner with staff from all levels and departments. The incumbent should also have an aptitude for understanding auditing and accounting concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS
There are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. This position requires four to six years of relevant work experience.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent work experience is preferred. Industry recognized certification(s) relevant to responsibilities are preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and track the progress of periodic and ad hoc IS departmental assignments such as Risk Assessments and Data Requests.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Ensure that staff communicate and work effectively in project teams and work groups, and with vendor and contracted personnel
- Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
- Lead or perform problem diagnosis and remediation activities
- Coordinate periodic reviews of IS policies, procedures, key documents and controls and prepare reports of findings for review by management
- Ensure effective reporting of progress and problems for all assigned tasks
- Develop and provide training on relevant policies and procedures
- Plan, monitor and manage staff assignments to assure completion of work within scope, schedule and quality expectations
- Supervise and develop staff, and exercise authority regarding promotions, transfers, evaluations, compensation, disciplinary actions and terminations
- Ensure that adequate and effective IS policies, guidelines and controls are defined, and that they support business continuity, technology continuity, performance, cost-efficiency, and consistency with an emphasis on Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), control frameworks, general computing controls and technology continuity requirements
- Coordinate, track and evaluate IS audits and assessments to ensure consistent and effective communication between IS and audit groups, effective processes and procedures, IS responses are timely and management is apprised of the progress and results
- Coordinate with IS departments, support groups and related business areas, to ensure overall compliance and general administration activities are operating effectively and completed on a timely basis
- Oversee the preparation and management reporting of the O&M and capital three year plans and monthly budget variance analysis
- Initiate, manage, track and report on resulting tasks associated with event “de-briefing” and root cause analysis (RCA) reviews
- Ensure that appropriate deliverables are prepared in accordance with Company methodologies, and that progress and issues are reported and resolved on a timely basis
- Facilitate IS department in technology recovery rehearsals and in planning and execution of the corporate and departmental emergency management plans
- Develop and implement department goals that are aligned with IS business objectives

$94,135 - $141,203
