Supervisor Lab Jobs

Responsible for efficient daily operation by overseeing instrumentation, quality control, testing and reporting, inventory and scheduling. Supports Technicians in problem solving in above areas. Monitors and improves operations so department can best meet laboratory mission.

Education: Bachelor�s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution Graduate of accredited Medical Technology program preferred. Graduate of accredited Medical Laboratory Technician Program acceptable.

Experience: Four years' laboratory experience required.

Licensure/Certification: MT (ASCP) or MT (AMT) or MLT (ASCP)

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, qualify control procedures, regulatory and accreditation policies. Computer and interpersonal skills.

Contacts: Daily contact with laboratory and hospital staff, pathologists and occasional personal or phone contact with physicians.
