The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, providing professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel. The Kitchen Supervisor reports to the Director, Food & Beverage.Hires and trains Line Cooks and Dishwashers, under general direction of the DirectorPlace food and supply ordersWorks with Director to create weekly menus based on resident feedbackComplete and document all safety audits and monthly in-service trainingsCheck and correct plate presentation prior to dishes leaving the kitchenOversees kitchen labor and food cost to budgetary requirementsPrepares high quality foodRequirements: Demonstrate your integrity through strong attendance, dependability, and flexible scheduling availabilityCollege or culinary training preferred, or extensive cooking and production experiencePrevious leadership experience preferredHold and maintain a Managers Food Handlers Permit, facilitated by Spectrum Retirement CommunitiesWillingness to be a supportive member of a team with a “Can Do” attitude and behaviorsMust be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with our company policy and state mandatesMinimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalentSpectrum Retirement Communities, LLC and its affiliated companies are Equal Employment Opportunity employers.
