We are looking for a Supervisor – Private Client Services to join our Tax Department in our Chicago office. As a Tax Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. NOTE: This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, tax work, and wrap-up
• Review tax information supplied by client and obtain open items
• Perform tax research to resolve issues
• Review tax work of staff and interns and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
• Prepares federal, state and local tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, Trust)
• Build relationships with clients and staff
• Identify and communicate tax matters to Managers and Partners

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-size public accounting firm
• Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Approaches projects with a sense of urgency
• Responsive to clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Masters in Taxation preferred
• CPA preferred or Exam in progress
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws –individual, trust, gifts taxation
• Knowledge of Axcess and Go File Room is a plus
• Must have excellent client service skills
• Highly motivated
