Rehab Builders, Inc. is a design-build construction company specializing in the rehabilitation of buildings eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and multi-family new construction.Based in Winston-Salem, N.C., we are licensed general contractors in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas.The Superintendent will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, as well as work with project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Foreman, Field Personnel, and other office departments to deliver successful, quality projects to owners, on time and on budget. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to lead, with a preference for a team-oriented atmosphere.The Superintendent must be a flexible and adaptable, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
·Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
·Preparation and maintenance of construction schedules, identifies problems in advance and recommends solutions.
·Coordinates material deliveries and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the progress of the project.
·Thoroughly understands project plans and specifications.
·Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and other field personnel.
·Manages Subcontractor performance and relationships.
·Assist in soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders.
·Assist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required.
·Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program - promote job safety and encourage safe working practices with all employees and trade contractors.
·Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others.
Job Skills & Abilities:
·Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
·Broad understanding of industry
·Displays strong written and verbal communication skills and employs effective listening skills
·Math/accounting skills
·Functions effectively as a leader, with a preference for a team-oriented atmosphere
·Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
·Good time management skills and organizational skills
·Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs
·Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities
·Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree - Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent and/or 5 years of industry experience
·Conversational Spanish is helpful although not a requirement
