Summer Intern Jobs

ABOUT US

Senator Steve Glazer is seeking high school seniors or undergrad students who are interested in civic engagement and community service. Interns acquire and improve upon useful skills such as public relations, researching legislation, observing and participating in district office functions, making appearances for the Senator, crafting constituent correspondence, and providing constituent services. Additionally, interns will be prepared to support to our staff, learn about the operations of a senate office, and present a legislative proposal to Senator Glazer. Joining #TeamGlazer will offer the rewarding experience of working with a legislator who deeply cares about the community and the issues they face.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a rising senior or in college
• Work collaboratively with others
• Able to work the 4th of July Holiday
• Attend Intern Field Trip on July 13th
• Are able to carry max 50 lbs
• Work some evenings/ weekends
• Commit to a minimum of 6-8 weeks

• In your email to Diana, please include the following information: What days you are able to work between the hours of 9-5 Monday-Friday (Although interns will mostly work in the office between 10-3 pm on weekdays); Your earliest start date and latest end date; That you are able to give a presentation of a legislative bill idea at the end of the internship program

• This is an unpaid position, but we can potentially provide a transportation stipend.
