Job Description
1. Work with assigned campers to promote safety, independence, exploration and integration into the camp community. Facilitate camper self-esteem through positive interactions and building a relationship of trust.

2. Demonstrate positive behavioral management techniques and communicate with individuals in a person-centered, age appropriate manner. Inform the Head Counselor and other camp staff about health, behavioral, and programmatic issues that occur.

3. Actively participate in the camp program with assigned group by supporting campers at whatever level they may need.

4. Assist Activity leaders in program facilitation and demonstrate a positive attitude about all camp activities Live cooperatively within the camp community and assist with evening cabin or program responsibilities..

5. Complete assigned notes, daily logs, and other documentation thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. Attend and actively participate in required trainings, team meetings, and supervision meetings.

6. Develop free time activities that promote team work, positive interaction and personal growth.

7. Adhere to State of Maryland, PATH, American Camp Association, CARF, and Melwood policies and procedures.
