Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Starting pay rate of $17.00, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience
  • Benefits: This is a full-time seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

Operate the lift and/or gondola for the Killington Mountain Bike Park and Scenic Rides.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • May also operate lifts for summer prep work as needed
  • Monitor the operation of the lifts continually, and notify appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions
  • Complete daily operations report
  • Explain all procedures to inexperienced guests and ensure that all safety procedures are followed
  • Answer a variety of questions about the resort and the area
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Perform all necessary opening, operating, and closing procedures of the lifts
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer skills and dependability required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
  • Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions for a long period of time in all types of weather

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to deal with guests in a courteous, efficient, and confident/authoritative manner
  • Ability to learn a variety of information about activities, events, policies, procedures, schedules, and the like pertaining to the resort and the area
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. consistently to load equipment and bikes onto the lift
  • Ability to work quickly and alertly, and to strictly observe safety procedures
