We’re currently looking for an Intern in support of the Legal organization. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and work in a fast-paced environment where you will support a dynamic Legal organization.
The Intern will report to the VP Legal- Global Supply and Patents and be based out of our Morris Plains, NJ location. The program will run from May 22nd, 2023 – August 18th 2023, and be required to work up to 40/hours week.
THE ROLE
In this role you will assist with: Patent Preparation and Prosecution Patent Freedom to Operate and Counseling IP Counseling Litigation Management Commercial Contracting Corporate Governance (in particular ESG; corporate communications)
QUALIFICATIONS
We’d love to see candidates who have: Excellent academic records and strong backgrounds demonstrating leadership potential. Completion of at least the first year of law school Demonstrated interest in patent law and in-house practice Completed technical requisites to qualify to take the Patent Bar exam. Undergraduate degree or significant undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in chemistry, biology, and/or engineering Passion to learn and work in a legal organization and with R&D and Procurement teams Strong collaboration skills: ability to work in a team environment Detailed oriented in observing/taking notes/following instruction Ability to manage multiple activities while delivering set milestones Strong communication and presentation skills Team player and exhibit “can do” attitude Internally motivated
