Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Laundry:

• Ensure that all guest laundry and dry cleaning goes up to the guestrooms wrapped according to standard in sustainable packaging.
• Perform minor tailoring needs of guests i.e., repair a tear, hem or popped button.
• Polishing of guest’s shoes on a need be basis.
• Responsible for fulfilling all emergency guest laundry and pressing needs on a need be basis.
• Check and follow up on all guest dry cleaning and laundry.

Colleague Uniform:

• Liaise with uniform cleaning company to keep track of any employee complaints.
• Uniform inventory and rack auditing.
• Maintain bar coding on all colleague’s uniforms in an efficient manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the uniform room.
• Perform minor tailoring needs of uniformed employees i.e., repair a tear, hem or popped button.
• Check daily on uniform discrepancies.
• Scan all uniforms as they come into the department utilizing the Invotech software system.
• Send out all scanned uniforms and print out daily uniform lists.

Other Duties:

• Ensure correct usage of presser and ironing ‘suzie’.
• Update FLHSS sheets daily located on washers and dryers.
• Keep Laundry Manager informed of any laundry/uniform issues.
• Maintain accurate MSD sheets.
• Ensure correct usage of washer/dryer machine.
• Proper usage of all chemicals and detergents utilised in the laundry facilities.

Requirements

• Maintain and launder “household” items on a daily basis.
• Working knowledge of Invotech software system.
• Possess a good written and verbal command of the English Language
• Possess good computer skills and have prior experience in a laundry/valet facility

Pay: Hourly $28.56 to $38.09
