Job Summary This temporary student worker position is anticipated to start approximately in October 2023 and approximately go through October 2025. This position exists to support the work of the St Louis River Area of Concern staff to complete records review, scanning, archiving and other administrative activities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Post-secondary education student working on an environmental degree or related degree. (To be eligible for appointment as a Student Worker you must be a student enrolled in an educational program or planning to enrollwithin three months. Students may be \"off\" for thesummer or for one semester/quarter and remain employed as student workers,but such absences cannot exceed one semester/quarter in a year. As a student you must be enrolledin high school or in a post-secondary or graduate program. If a student is enrolled at a credit-granting institution he/she must carry at least six semester (ninequarter) credits. Ifenrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, a student must be takingtwo or more classes per semester/quarter. Any lesser credit (class)load shall be treated as a semester/quarter off. Graduatestudents must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation. You will be asked to completeanEducational Verification form prior to appointment.) The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will not sponsor applicants for work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hiredwill be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate with internal customers. Ability to work independently and with others. Accomplished in using computer programs (Microsoft office products, e-mail, intranet, internet, outlook) Ability to follow directions and carry-out detailed processes Organizational Skills Physical Requirements Job involves frequent use of computer and scanner, as well as lifting file boxes of roughly 15 pounds. Additional Requirements Position duties may require travel but driving is not a minimum qualification or essential function of this position. Employees whomay drive for state business will need their driver\'slicense checked prior to operating a state vehicle.
