Student Engagement Specialist (9Tssr23)

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Dean of Student Success & Retention, the Student Engagement Specialist assists with the development and implementation of student engagement and success initiatives and campus activities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Coordinates the Campus Ambassador Program by leading recruitment and selection of ambassadors and assists with student training and supervision.
• Assist with initiatives and events involving student leaders and volunteers including, but not limited, to Campus Ambassadors, Student Government Association, Student Leadership Council, and Student Organizations.
• Assists with continuous development, implementation, and promotion of student engagement in partnership with Student Success and Retention services.
• Assists in the planning and execution of Student Success and Retention division events and activities, including coordinating logistics, managing virtual delivery platforms, facilitating promotion, and coordinating pre-event/day-of tasks.
• Coordinates the Campus Visit program, including coordinating individual and/or group requests, planning tours and Open House events, as well as assisting with tour promotions.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

High school diploma and related work experience required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of College personnel and students are essential. Experience with virtual events and social media. Position requires some flexibility in work schedule to accommodate the College’s events schedule. Should be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Local travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree and one (1) year of related experience in an educational setting preferred.
