Job Description

Description


This position involves visual inspection of structural steel, including bolted and welded connections, field inspection and performing non-destructive testing. Other responsibilities include coordinating and testing assignments on various projects, maintaining testing equipment, report preparation and field work including safely climbing steel structures. Candidates mid to experienced level are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Materials testing experience preferred.
  • Experience with development of procedures, inspection requirements acceptance criteria etc.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Climb heights and experience using fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems.
  • Certified as a lift operator
  • Experience with AWS D1.1/D1.1M and experience with various codes, standards, specifications.
  • Ability to read plans/drawings
  • ICC Bolting Certification preferred
  • Experience in qualification of welders or welding procedures for welding and nondestructive evaluation of weldments.
  • Level II for UT, PT, MT certifications preferred
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
