Description

The Stock Clerk II is responsible for assisting in the storeroom operation and inventory control. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assist in loading and unloading shipments from trucks or other vehicles; check incoming shipments for conformity with purchase orders; size, grade, and label stock; replenish inventory levels and keep the store room clean and orderly; process and maintain UPS and FEDEX shipments; maintain daily receiving reports and coordinate vendor returns; clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to handle stock and fill requisitions accurately and rapidly, organize assigned work and develop effective work methods. Ability to interact and work closely with other employees. Knowledge of modern stockroom methods, practices and equipment. Must be available for emergencies or job assignments on a 24-hour basis. Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Education: High School Diploma, Vocational School Diploma or equivalency certificate.

Experience: One (1) year of experience in receiving, issuing and storing parts, material and supplies in an organized stock room. Forklift and material handling equipment experience required.

Working Conditions: Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and may be required to work indoors and outdoors.
