We are an established Steel Sub-contractor based in the greater New York Metropolitan area. We are looking for an experienced structural and miscellaneous steel detailer. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience detailing for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. They will have experience using multiple 2D & 3D CAD software.

Some of the experience we are looking for is:

· 2 years’ experience as a steel detailer

· Experience using AUTOCAD, Tekla.

· General knowledge of the steel industry

· Developed fabrication shop drawings

Daily Role & Responsibilities:

· Read structural and architectural drawings to develop shop & erection drawings using AutoCAD & Tekla

· Responding to RFI’s from client & general contractor

· Attend web-based or in-person meetings with clients BIM coordinator

The standard working hours are from 7am to 4pm Monday-Friday. However, some overtime will be required to meet deadlines.
