Summary
Operates truck in generating station pick-up and delivery services.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Duties are:
1. Pick up and make deliveries of material supplies and apparatus.
2. Pick up and make deliveries of mail between various offices.
3. Make minor purchases of supplies and material.
4. Assist in loading and unloading material and equipment.
5. Check general operating condition of vehicle including gasoline tank, engine oil, radiator, tire pressure, lights, tools, safety devices, etc.
6. Change tires on truck when on the road.
7. Install and remove skid chains, as required.
8. Clean truck.
9. Report all accidents, failures of equipment or abnormal conditions involving the truck.
10. Perform other similar or less skilled work of the occupational group.
Job Qualifications
Must meet the Company's "General Requirements"; must have all the qualifications of Stock Handler - P&MC and, in addition:
- Must be able to qualify for State of New Jersey articulated auto driver's license.
- Must demonstrate ability to drive a motor vehicle safely.
- Must be proficient in approved methods of artificial respiration.
- Must have had at least one and one-half years' experience as a Stock Handler - P&MC, or the equivalent.
- Must be trustworthy, reliable, courteous and cooperative.
- Must be able to perform the fundamental operations in arithmetic and to take measurements (an eight year grammar school education would ordinarily provide the individual with sufficient education to meet these requirements).
Required equivalent work experience can be defined by one of the following;
Warehouse Logistics
Shipping/Receiving
Forklift experience
Must have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Must meet and maintain Nuclear unescorted site access
