Perform the functions of a staff accountant, including reconciling fixed assets, working with prepaid insurance, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

 

  • Assist in maintaining the Company's fixed assets, including gathering information for disposals and in-service dates, and running monthly depreciation
  • Responsible for monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, revenue recognition entries, and other entries during the month-end close
  • Perform SOX compliant functions, including maintaining internal controls required by the PCAOB and SEC
  • Other duties and projects as directed.
  • Assist in compiling various accounting reports that are used by management on a monthly basis
  • Assist in maintaining the Company's credit card programs, including working with managers and other employees to coordinate credit card coding
  • Room for growth for other accounting opportunities

 

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software
  • Web-based platforms for completing banking transactions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Ability and willingness to learn new accounting software
  • High level of confidentiality

 

Education and/or Experience                                                  

  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training in Corporate Accounting or Public Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from accredited four-year college preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
