Sonic Information Systems, Inc. in Milford, CT has an opening for a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator to design, develop, implement, and maintain client/server Windows applications on Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g, SQL, PL/SQL, and Power Builder 8, 11. Develop Oracle packages, procedures, scripts on large databases. Write Oracle stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Perform database queries tuning and application tuning utilizing latest tuning concepts. Provide upgrade, migration and patch management. Collect business process requirements and documentation of requirements, including change management and source control knowledge. Design backup strategies utilizing RMAN and data-pump. Monitor and perform fine-tuning to ensure the database running efficiently. Provide upgrade, migration and patch management. Perform modifications to Oracle environments to support changes to the applications, reporting requirements and user requests. Use SQL loader for loading tables and ETL concepts including scheduling tools. Work on unit test plan execution and documentation of test results. May travel or relocate to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States. Must have Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related and 1 year of experience or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related and 5 years of experience.
