Sr. Java/Javascript Developer

G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2) is looking for a self-directed and motivated individual to join our team as a software developer in support of a DoD program. This position requires the individual to be on-site 2 days per week.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 5 years of continuous programming experience
• Effective communication and writing skills
• Experience in Agile Software Engineering Process and Life Cycle
• At least 3 years of continuous programming experience in Java and JavaScript
• Ability to work independently as well as in the team setting

In addition to the skills mentioned above, having a few of the skills below is desirable:

• Experience developing, modifying, and applying computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems affecting system and program performance
• Ability to design and build related databases, performing data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design, implementation, and management
• Experience with Databases, especially MySQL and H2
• Experience in Object Oriented software analysis and design, as well as UML, IDL, and UDL
• Experience with GIT, Maven, JIRA
• Experience with JSON, JQuery, GWT, XML, XSLT, XQuery
• Experience in software simulation development and integration
• Detailed knowledge of how to read, modify, debug and add features to automated software build configurations
• Experience translating operational needs into long-term architecture solutions
• Software Defined Radio design, RF Communications, Data/Network Communications, or Network Management;
• Business Rules software design and development
• Experience with build automation, Jenkins, automated tests
• Experience with presenting software analysis recommendations to technical committee and/or configuration control board
• Experience in User Interface design and implementation
• Experience in J2EE
• Experience with React and Redux JS
• Ability to participate in all phases of scientific and engineering projects such as research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation

Education: Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. The Senior and Mid categories are based on years of experience and/or degree.

This position requires an individual to be a US citizen and either have, or be able to obtain, and retain a DoD clearance.
