Job Description


To work effectively in a team-oriented work environment, provide financial leadership to the team and customer support to the organization. Ability to complete assignments on time. Interact with people of all cultures and levels of Management. Provide internal management with necessary reports and perform financial statement reviews to ensure that reports are accurate and reasonable and are recorded in accordance with GAAP.


Key Responsibilities


  • Readiness and willingness to engage in setting up new engineering locations as part of a growing industry.
  • Keep up to date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas.
  • Monthly Capital reporting
  • Various ad hoc financial reporting and accounting analysis projects and process improvement projects as required. Other duties as assigned.
  • Lead, manage and mentor finance team with effective goals and communications.
  • Preparing, posting, and recording of journal entries to the general ledger for the month-end and year-end close. Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts such as Cash, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, and Accruals in a multi-company environment.
  • Assist CFO and CEO in performing analysis and creating reports for senior management including expense variance analysis, financial review, and budget preparation.
  • Maintain effective and efficient communications with management, operations and Clients Contributing to process improvements, systems enhancements, set up of improved policies and procedures in respective areas of responsibility.
  • Assist in the audit processes and preparing supporting schedules of GL activities.
  • Perform financial closing process with responsibility for respective G/L accounts. At the end of each month, a trial balance is run to verify that general ledger accounts are in balance and review accounts to be sure entries are accurate, recorded as required by GAAP on a timely basis.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, P&L and statement of cash flows for multiple business units.
  • Prepares financial statements to summarize and forecast the company's financial status. Produces and manages balance sheets and analyzes future earnings and expenses. Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
  • Assist Auditor with IRS Annual 401(k) Audit Fee Disclosures, Plan Documents, Non-discriminating Testing & Form 5500 Exercising critical thinking in operational, financial, and transactional analyses to identify and help resolve any issues that may arise during daily operations and the month-end close process.
  • Review yearly risk management, year-end audit package, tax packages, R&D tax credits, and property taxes prepared by finance team.
  • Provide support to divisions for all new GAAP disclosures and Tax modifications.
  • Understand the financials of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing.
  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of business.
  • Lead the month end process to ensure timely close and accurate financial data.
  • Promote and seek excellence in all aspects of business
  • Ensure minimum controls procedures are followed by the finance team.
  • Review and approve for purchase requisitions.


Key Qualifications/Requirements


Education


  • Experience in ERP , Excel, Powerpoint
  • 5+ years of experience with QuickBooks.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced proactive environment.
  • Ten years of professional experience with plant, public or corporate accounting function within the automotive industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Prefer Masters
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and accounting software packages.
