Job Description
SUMMARY:


The Senior Director – Gaming Finance works closely with an assigned group of CDI properties and their respective Senior Directors of Finance. A Director level candidate who possesses our desired qualifications will also be consider for the position. This position will act as a business partner to the VP Operations - Gaming and property level management providing overall day to day financial leadership and coordination. The Senior Director – Gaming Finance works with management and CDI finance leaders in the development and implementation of strategic and operating plans to drive profitable growth. Responsible for analysis and decision support related to capital management, process efficiencies, and vendor related activities. Provides financial analysis and decision support to executive management as needed.


Requirements


  • Ability to travel to regional gaming properties periodically, as needed, required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with remotely based property management, locally based corporate management and prioritize tasks across a broad spectrum of responsibilities required.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize data clearly and concisely required.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in financial analysis and planning required.
  • Detail oriented, professional demeanor, strong organization and project management skills required.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate working relationships throughout the organization required.
  • Experience in gaming financial analysis, gaming accounting, and casino operations preferred.
  • Experience with MicroStrategy, Aristocrat Oasis and Spreadsheet Server preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with senior / executive management required.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills required.
  • Master’s degree and / or CPA preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication / presentation skills required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent finance knowledge and thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Works with VP Gaming Operations to drive key operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Provides assistance to the finance leadership including: Financial Planning & Analysis of company’s Operations, Accounting compliance, Tax assistance and Investor Relations support.
  • Maintains effective communication with peers.
  • Responsible for the financial management of assigned regional gaming properties, including financial analysis and projections, capital and operating budget planning, productivity, cash flow management, cost identification and allocation, revenue/expense trends analysis, financial record keeping and reporting.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the development, execution, and measurement of service standards and other metrics for the assigned gaming properties.
  • Provides leadership in the development and monitoring of budgets and operational strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.
  • Develops cost proposals and estimates for equipment, systems, and procedural changes as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring operational and financial controls are operating in accordance with the approved System of Internal Control and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in the identification and development of business partnerships and relationships which may be beneficial to the long-term growth and success of the individual gaming properties or gaming segment.
  • Serves as both a financial and operational resource to the Vice President – Gaming to help drive the financial success of the assigned gaming properties,
  • Works closely with department management to establish sound operational business practices and methods to ensure all projects and assignments produce quality results, remain within budget, and meet targeted deadlines.
  • Directs the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure company competitive position in an ever-changing hospitality/gaming environment.
