The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Finance leader to assume responsibility for all aspects of our Finance, Accounting, and Business Intelligence functions. The Sr. Director of Finance will be a key leader within our organization, reporting directly to the CEO. We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated expertise in finance leadership roles, bringing a robust history of strategic financial decision-making, team management, and operational success. This role serves as the functional head of our Finance org and offers a path to promotion to our Executive Leadership Team.

As Sr. Director of Finance, you will be responsible for all financial planning and reporting processes at RealWork Labs. This position will also manage our Business Intelligence team, and you will be tasked with developing a deep understanding of all functional areas of the business and supporting the team’s analytical roadmap to inform strategy and drive actionable business insights across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end financial reporting process including monthly close and rolling forecast updates
• Manage and build relationships with key stakeholders across Executive Team, Board, and Lenders
• Align business objectives to key KPIs with guidance from Executive Team and Board
• Partner with Sales Operations team to track performance and administer commissions
• Oversee annual audit and tax returns conducted by external auditors / CPA firm
• Be an advocate for building a data-driven organization and be willing to debate and challenge our team to improve our decision-making processes and operating assumptions
• Manage accounting and business intelligence teams

Qualifications

• Familiarity with our Finance and Reporting tools (QuickBooks, Salesforce, Gusto, Ramp, PowerBI, BigQuery, Alteryx, and of course Excel)
• Process-oriented mindset; you invest in efficiency and automation to free up your time to work “on” the business by driving new initiatives and strategy
• Experience managing teams while being responsible for a full plate of deliverables and responsibilities
• Experience with SaaS business models and unit economics
• 8+ years in Finance or adjacent roles working for startups, investment banking, or private equity
• Experience supporting venture capital fundraising processes is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the proven ability to weave data into a business narrative
• Strong financial modeling skills including detailed bottoms up forecasting
• Excellent business acumen, you understand the business processes and activities behind the numbers
