What's the Short Version?


The Sr Director of Digital Sales and eCommerce is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for wholesale eCommerce efforts. This position leads a team that elevates customer experience and identifies opportunities for SanMar to expand our reach through Amazon marketplace, Press Hall, and other digital spaces.


What Will You Be Doing?


  • Be instrumental in developing the strategic vision and eCommerce playbook across SanMar’s wholesale channel.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships internally, with external agencies, and with other influential, forward-thinking leaders to actively promote collaboration, learning and big picture thinking.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing refinement of products and experiences that activate and inspire our customers in ways that drive long-term engagement with our brands, including the overall design, execution and performance of our eCommerce sites.
  • Implement and refine all aspects of customer acquisition, growth, and retention from strategy to daily execution powered by world-class technology, data and analytics.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop strategic business plans and annual budgets and to effectively prioritize tasks to support overall company strategies and financial targets.


What Are We Looking For?


  • 10+ years of online marketing and eCommerce experience.
  • Experience working with apparel brands is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong analytical skills; experience translating data into insights and actions.
  • Culturally aware and able to capture insights into how customers think, feel, and behave.
  • Previous experience overseeing eCommerce and brand strategy in the direct to consumer space including marketplace platforms.
  • A proven leader of high functioning, cross-functional teams of professionals and external partners who thrives on working with a sense of urgency to produce high-quality results.
  • Practical skills in managing internet marketing including performance marketing/SEO, affiliate management, mobile and social platforms, and email marketing.
  • Expert understanding of marketing and e-commerce with a natural curiosity for keeping up with rapid changes in our industry.
  • A global mindset; open to working varied schedules and locations and has the ability to occasionally travel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts with internal teams and leadership.
  • Ability to balance a strong leadership/management presence with a high level of approachability; encouraging and eliciting team feedback and interaction.


What Should You Expect?


Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.


SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
