Position: Sr. Analyst, Capital Markets (Funding, Liquidity & Forecasting)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Overview: The GreenSky Capital Markets team implements the Company’s loan distribution and sales process. The Capital Markets team works closely with our Goldman Sachs Global Banking & Markets (GBM) division to coordinate loan distribution through the asset-backed securitization (ABS) market and other channels.
The role’s responsibilities include: (a) coordinating the forecasting of loan portfolio funding, balances and performance for Goldman Sachs, third party banks in the GreenSky program and institutional investors, among other organizations; (b) developing and implementing strategies to maintain compliance within various funding commitments; (c) supporting GreenSky-sponsored capital market transactions, including ABS; and (d) maintaining a consolidated corporate funding forecast.
This position will also be instrumental in the development, integration and automation of our next-stage consumer loan Data and Analytics platform. In coordination with the GBM division, this platform supports loan portfolio valuation via collateral analyses and historical credit performance. Therefore, preferred candidates will have significant hands-on experience in loan data, analytics and reporting, preferably in a capital markets environment (e.g., ABS or mortgage-backed securitization) or in a treasury management function for a consumer loan originator or servicer.
Organizational: This position is a member of the Capital Markets team, reporting to the VP of Capital Markets.
Potential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create executive-level and detailed reporting metrics on a recurring and ad hoc basis.
  • Assist GreenSky’s Finance Department and the broader Goldman Sachs enterprise with requests relating to historical and prospective capital markets efforts, portfolio composition and other relevant data characteristics in support of internal and third-party transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with executives and senior management, including GreenSky and Goldman Sachs colleagues in Credit Risk, Accounting, Controllers, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Treasury and Product Management, among others.
  • Incorporate loan origination forecasts, funding partner commitments and capital markets opportunities into the Company’s liquidity strategies across multiple business lines.
  • Assist in the negotiation and execution of ABS and other sales among GreenSky-Goldman Sachs stakeholders, banks, institutional investors and other transaction parties.
  • Maintain and create insightful Tableau dashboards tracking KPI’s for funding metrics.
  • Improve existing processes (or develop new approaches) for data integrity assessments and performance monitoring of capital markets transactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of structured finance, securitization, consumer lending, portfolio analytics and related financial analysis and data management experience.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in programming languages and managing large data sets via Snowflake/SQL, Python, R, Excel VBA, Tableau et al.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate this role within the broader GreenSky-Goldman Sachs organization while effectively communicating with external stakeholders, including third-party bank partners and our extensive capital markets network.
  • Clear and concise communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills: Utilize those skills to effectively translate complex analytics, data and portfolio elements for application by senior management in valuation, forecasting and transaction negotiations.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of capital markets and/or bank loan origination experience.
  • Bachelor's – Master’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Economics, Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Quantitative or Computational Finance, etc.
