As a senior SQL developer in the data-warehouse team, this role will be responsible for design, development, testing, and implementation of a set enterprise level data warehouse systems and solutions. This involves leading projects from a technical development perspective including oversight over junior SQL developers. This role requires following strict Software Development Life Cycle development and implementation guidelines. Responsibilities also include technical leadership and effective communication, conducting peer code review and suggesting remediation path, supporting business needs with ad-hoc needs requests and organizing and presenting data to multiple levels of management.


  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
  • Ability to collaborate with other developers, business analysts, project managers, business users, vendors, and management
  • Organize, prepare, and present data to senior management
  • Architect ETL enhancements to increase the performance data warehouse using query manager and optimizer
  • Apply ETL error handling and package logging that stores results into SQL tables for ease of troubleshooting
  • Optimize query performance tuning by reading executing plans, maintaining indexes, database refactoring (making code more efficient and maintainable)
  • Conduct peer code review on ETL, stored procedures, views, functions to identify performance problems, inadequate programming and data duplication and suggest a remediation path
  • Provide leadership, training, and oversight of other analysts' activities, deliverables, and performance
  • Knowledgeable of cloud services such as Snowflake, Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Design and develop ETLs to move data across internal servers utilizing input variables for easier deployment to different environments
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
  • Programming experience with emphasis on designing complex SQL queries and business components
  • Follow strict Software Development Life Cycle development and implementation guidelines
  • Facilitate data retrieval and manipulation through implementation of views, stored procedures, triggers and cursors
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to design, code, test, debug, package and deploy quality, scalable and well documented SQL solutions
  • 5+ years of MS SQL database and SQL Information Services knowledge and development experience
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Design and develop ETLs to move data across external SFTP utilizing input variables for easier deployment to different environments
  • Optimize query performance by modifying existing queries, removing unnecessary columns, eliminating redundant and inconsistent data, normalizing tables objects
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, possess a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with SSIS, Informatica or other ETL tools
  • Deploy SSIS packages for ETL using Integration Catalog utilizing input variables for easier deployment to different environments
  • Proactively research, present and make recommendations regarding new SQL features

Compensation Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below

  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
