Our client, a high-end IT Consulting company with financial clients, is looking for a SQL Database Engineer to join their team in Orange County, CA!

*This position is a contract to hire opportunity*

Responsibilities:

• Develop or maintain archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications.
• Design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks.
• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.
• Design database applications, such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global temporary tables, data partitions, and function-based indexes to enable efficient access of the generic database structure.
• Create and optimize data models for warehouse infrastructure and workflow.
• Develop and document database architectures.
• Set standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security.
• Model, design, and construct large relational databases or data warehouses.
• Demonstrate database technical functionality, such as performance, security and reliability.
• Develop database architectural strategies at the modeling, design and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements.
• Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Plan and install upgrades of database management system software to enhance database performance.

Requirements:

• Python experience a plus
• Experienced in Cloud technology solutions with Azure and/or AWS
• CI/CD pipeline tools like Docker, Kubernets
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 7+ years of database engineering and architecture experience
• Strong SQL database expertise
