Job Description

Responsibilities

Position Overview: The database developer will be supporting the Appian Development team. In this role you will be supporting the work across 15+ products each with its own database. Your work will fall into two main categories, the first being creating database scripts to correct erroneous data in production with the second being to implement new database objects that support/enable new functionality. In this second category you will work with application developers to understand their requirements to implement new tables, stored procedures and views. You will work with application developers to ensure that changes meet the intended outcome. You will be responsible for promoting code changes up through the different environments.

Position Responsibilities

  • Writing SQL scripts that vary in complexity from simple to complex.
  • Designing Database tables
  • Documenting code changes
  • Updating SSIS packages (desired)
  • Creating/updating views
  • Supporting monthly production deployments during off hours
  • Other professional duties as assigned.
  • Creating/updating stored procedures
  • Updating SSRS packages (desired)

Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis, information systems management, software engineering, statistics, mathematics or related discipline;
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • 3-5 years experience working with MS SQL Server databases
