Sports Camp Counselor Jobs

Description of Job: Under the guidance of the Director of Special Events and Sponsorships, Sports Camp Counselors are responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the various athletic sports camps.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Opening and Closing of Camp.

• Enforcing all department and building policies involving all Pratt Center users and staff

• Abiding by and enforcing Covid-19 restrictions according to LIU and New York State policies
• Ensuring that all camp schedules are followed and that users/programs have what they need

• Dealing with all member issues/questions including parent related questions

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements: Applicant must follow the direct instruction of their lead coach at their desired sports camp. Must provide a welcoming and fun atmosphere for all campers. Must have knowledge of their sport and provide a professional atmosphere for all campers. Must help in escorting campers to and from the pickup/drop off location. Other duties to be assigned by lead coach.

Work Schedule: Based on the camp schedule for the desires sport. 9am-12pm or 9am-4pm
