Sport/Athletics Recreation Programmer – softball to kickball, pickleball to soccer, if planning leagues, tournaments, and recreation programs for a variety of sports and activities is your passion, we have the perfect job for you!

Join our City of Wyoming Parks and Recreation Department as we build community pride, strong bodies, and minds through sport, recreation, and leisure programming. The Sports, Athletics, and Recreation programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and supervising seasonal leagues, tournaments, skill development programs, and various recreation programs for youth, adults, and families. The position develops, implements, evaluates, and oversees programs, budgets, and contracts; recruits coaches, referees, sponsors, volunteers, and interns. Reimagining and developing new events for our community of 76,000 residents is part of the fun!

With a typical four-day work week, M-Th, some evenings and weekends during programs, this position includes a generous benefits package including an employer-paid defined contribution plan (8%) and post-employment health plan (4%), a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental and vision insurance plans, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time and paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, longevity pay, and free access to an employee assistance program.
