Sports and Play Coordinator Salary: $14.00 - $16.00
Sports and Play Coordinator Hours: 4:30pm- 7:30pm most nights and 8:00am -1:00pm Saturday League Days (Part Time)
Sports And Play Coordinator Responsibilities

• Help develop a staff team which exhibits a welcoming, positive, mature, and empathetic attitude; while displaying our living our cause culture.
• Supports in the creation of schedules and team rosters for all youth/adult sports leagues
• Follow HR and Risk Management policies and procedures of the institution
• Model relationship-building skills in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
• Establish positive collaborations between staff to staff, staff to member, and ultimately member to member
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Establish a clean, safe, organized, welcoming environment that speaks to all parents and participants
• Assure compliance with SEFA policies for youth league volunteers
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures; provide care during an emergency, document all incidents/accidents on the appropriate forms, and submit to the Director of Youth Development upon completion of shift
• Provide support to YMCA special events as needed
• Complete up to 20 hours of direct service per week. Direct service includes youth/adult league supervision and coaching youth sports programs
• Maintain supplies for sports leagues and ensure the storage areas and class spaces stay clean and organized
• Supports the communication of schedules, rosters and all pertinent information for upcoming youth/adult leagues to the Welcome Center staff.

Sports And Play Coordinator Qualifications

• Strong athletic background
• One to two years coaching experience is preferred
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
• Availability on weeknights and Saturdays (September-June)
• Possesses the ability to motivate, educate, develop, and inspire members and staff.
