Salary: $6,946 to $7,344 per month (SR-22, Step C to H - Salary includes Shortage Category Differential).
Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
As a condition of employment with the State of Hawaii, all qualified external candidates who have been given a conditional offer of employment must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and shall be fully vaccinated by his/her/their employment start date. Participates in and is responsible for a major content area of the speech-language program, involving planning, organizing, coordinating and assisting in the conduct of such a program; or as a highly independent and competent worker, provides diagnostic evaluation and/or therapeutic services in the area of speech-language under the general supervision of a non-technical supervisor; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Note: Some positions may provide services covered under the Felix Consent Decree.
To qualify, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:
Education: A master's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Speech Pathology.
Experience Requirement: One (1) year of professional experience which dealt with the detection, prevention or the application of remedies for the alleviation or treatment of speech-language disorders, or teaching speech pathology at the graduate level in an accredited university. This experience must be comparable to the Speech Pathologist III in State service.
Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply.
License: Applicants MUST possess a valid license from the Hawaii State Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology to practice as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Hawaii.
Driver's License: Applicants MUST possess a valid Type-3 Driver's License at the time of appointment.
