POSITION SUMMARY



The Distribution Specialist will coordinate and participate as required in all Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety related activities for Distribution Facility(ies). This position will evaluate the level of compliance with applicable policies, procedures and Yazaki standards. In addition, the Specialist will make recommendations for system improvements and compliance to Process/Quality/EHS to facility management and implement the agreed upon improvements in their designated facility.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors and reports Environmental Health and Safety metrics and performance
  • Posts and communicates corporate/departmental initiatives, objectives, and status
  • Tracking, analysis, and reporting of internal and external facility issues
  • Champions Contingency plan testing and documentation
  • Leads accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action
  • Participates in group projects for corporate process documentation review and revision
  • Performs initial training to management teams for new or revised processes and standards
  • Identifies non-compliance to QMS, EHS, and Customer Specific Requirements
  • Performs training evaluations and assessments
  • Participates in daily group meeting, team huddles, and GEMBA walks
  • Hosts Internal and External Quality, IATF, EHS, OSHA audits
  • Acts as LPA Program Lead, assist in implementation or corrective actions
  • Create, maintain, monitor, and report metrics of LPA (Layered Process Audit) system
  • Leads root cause analysis, corrective action, and response for all customer and audit concerns
  • Monitor facility equipment Preventative Maintenance Schedule and compliance
  • Actively and independently identifies risks/opportunities within the QMS and EHS systems
  • Creates and communicates Quality and Safety Alerts
  • Maintains/creates process documentation, templates, and training records for compliance


REQUIREMENTS
Degree Requirements: Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience
Certification Requirements: IATF 16949 Auditor, Root Cause, 8D
Previous Experience: 4 Years Experience in warehousing/distribution
Preferred:
3 Years Experience in Quality/Safety role
2 Years Experience ISO/IATF Internal Auditor
2 Years Experience in Automotive/Production role
Travel Requirements: Travel as required, up to 50%, within region/country
Language:
English – Written/Spoken
Spanish – Written/Spoken is an asset
Software:
SAP, Success Factors, Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint
On Call Requirements: Overtime required as necessary
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
