Job Description

Job Summary

:
Adjunct faculty members are an important part of our academic programs. Thank you for your interest in supporting Bethel’s commitment to provide high quality learning experiences for our students. This is a part-time position to teach or supervise teacher candidates in Bethel’s BA and/or MA special education programs. Most courses are totally online, although several include a face-to-face component which occurs on Bethel’s campus in St. Paul. Supervision can be done in-person and/or virtually.

Responsibilities

:
  • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance diversity and inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline
  • Teach course(s) leading to a BA or MA in special education and licensure and/or supervising teacher candidates in student teaching or practicum courses.

Experience

:
  • A current MN teaching license is preferred.
  • Evidence of successful teaching in an online format preferred.
  • Evidence of successful teaching at the college level preferred.
  • Previous or current experience working in a K-12 setting.

Education

:

The candidate must hold a master's degree in field related to special education (doctorate preferred and required for some positions).
