Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Spa Receptionist/Attendant dual role will be responsible for supporting both reception and treatment room attending by answering incoming calls, greeting spa guests and assisting them with requests or services before and after the service.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule services for individuals and large groups utilizing the spa reservations software system.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by leadership
  • Courteously and expediently accommodate all guest requests and follow up to ensure completion of request.
  • Inform Spa Coordinator/Spa Leads of all supplies that need to be ordered and/or reordered thus ensuring timely and frequent inventories are completed
  • Provide treatment providers with an accurate daily schedule throughout their shift, notifying providers when the clients arrive.
  • Serve beverages, meals and miscellaneous items to guests
  • Greet each guest warmly on telephone and upon entering and exiting the spa, using their preferred names on a regular basis.
  • Operate the spa POS system to process cash and credit card transactions, ensuring that all transactions and the ending bank are accurate.
  • Set up reception workstations with necessary supplies, ensuring cleanliness is maintained including but not limited to spa restrooms, relaxation lounges and all common areas
  • Handle guest concerns and needs by overseeing treatment schedules thus ensuring services start on time

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Six months previous phone and/or reception experience required, one year preferred.
  • Must be 19 years or older
  • Must have a typing speed of 35 WPM.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Six months previous cashier experience required.


Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must work well with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, including the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Strong attentive to detail required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and the windows operating platform required.
