Sourcing Director Jobs

***MUST HAVE*** - Specialty Chemical Strategic Sourcing Leadership Experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Recognizes correlations within data and trends and rapidly integrates external information (such as market influences, macroeconomic factors, etc.) to foresee its potential consequences across various platforms.
• Formulate and execute strategies for sourcing and managing segments within the supply chain to harness the benefits of economies of scale, enhance economic value, mitigate supply chain risks, and facilitate business expansion.
• Coach, mentor, and develop sourcing talent within the segment. Collaborates with other segment and corporate leaders to enable robust career paths. Builds a diverse, high performing supply chain/ sourcing organization.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and clear directives to local management and operational teams regarding matters related to commercial operations, sourcing strategies, and supplier concerns.
• Lead complex and critical negotiations.
• Utilizes principles of supplier management, category management, and total cost analysis to oversee the supplier selection process and foster constructive associations with suppliers that generate substantial value for the organization.
• Support development & execution of assigned segment sourcing strategy.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven track record of team leadership & development
• Bachelor's degree (Chemistry OR Chemical Engineering strongly preferred). Master's degree in Business Admin., Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain.
• Proven track record of exerting influence at all levels, including senior executives.
• Minimum 10 years of technical strategic sourcing leadership experience, managing at least >$500M in direct material.
