Software Quality Engineer Intern

We are seeking students to join a fast paced and challenging development team as a Software Quality Engineer intern. You will have the opportunity to work with great engineers on cutting edge technology using leading edge agile software development processes. QA engineering interns will directly contribute to existing products; testing software for our web or client/server based projects. And, you’ll work closely with project managers, software engineers, product owners, architects and client services to collaborate and solve business problems in an agile development environment.

What Will You Do at Confluence?

• Design and code automated tests for functional requirements and application performance
• Log test failures into the internal ticket tracking system
• Help shape our products by providing input on user stories and designs and by giving feedback on usability.
• Work directly with other members of the QA and Development groups to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communicate status on issues or roadblocks, as well as accomplishments
• Create and execute test cases

What Skills are We Looking for?

• Experience in a programming language such as C++, C# or Java
• Self-motivated, willing to learn new concepts and products quickly
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• RDBMS experience is preferred
• Good understanding of web technologies
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of software development practices.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or similar degree in progress.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week during the summer
