Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience with SQL, front-end testing, and the ability to create smoke tests and user acceptance tests. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing our software applications and ensuring the quality of the software meets the high standards set by our company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manual and automated front-end testing to ensure that the user interface is user-friendly and responsive.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated tests using various testing tools and frameworks.
  • Perform ad-hoc testing, regression testing, and performance testing as required.
  • Create smoke tests and user acceptance tests to ensure that the software meets the acceptance criteria and is ready for production release.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve the software quality process by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and customer support to ensure that the software is of the highest quality.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our software applications.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience creating and executing smoke tests and user acceptance tests
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail or similar tools

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Snowflake database
  • Experience in front-end testing using testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Cloud based development (Azure, AWS, etc…)
