About the Customer Success Team

We help our customers achieve their desired outcomes and realize the highest added value possible – in their business context – with ActiveViam’s innovative suite of products and solutions.

We do that by partnering with our customers while providing them with a mix of product education, standard technical or functional support, and custom implementation/support services.

Onboarding new customers is obviously an important part of our responsibilities, but our work doesn’t stop here… We love to see our solutions go live AND be used more and more, as our customers understand the benefits of extending their use cases and achieving more with us.

We are not only “product evangelists”, externally, when fostering product adoption by our customers. We are also a fundamental “voice of the customer”, internally, to our product and engineering teams.

The Role

In OSL (Operational Sub Ledger) an accounting close optimization application, we extensively rely on a rules engine to handle different business configurations. To enhance the product and streamline its functionality, we need to upgrade the rules engine to a newer version and introduce additional features. The objective is to enable a more generic and customizable approach with minimal or no code changes required.

Currently, a significant amount of custom code is employed to accomplish various tasks. However, we aim to improve the product by allowing faster development of new processes. This means leveraging the enhanced rules engine to build and implement new functionalities more efficiently. By doing so, we can enhance the overall productivity and agility of the application, empowering users to configure and customize the system with ease and speed.

Key Duties

  • Design a robust and customizable solution that automates the generation of postings based on predefined business rules and configurations.
  • Build a streamlined process for automatically generating postings. By leveraging the flexibility and rule-based approach provided by Drools.
  • Upgrade of the Drools rules engine to leverage its latest version and capabilities.

This internship outcome will not only improve the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting close process but also reduce the reliance on manual interventions and custom code. The utilization of the Drools framework will empower us to build a more intelligent and automated system that can adapt to changing business requirements with minimal effort.
