Professional Technical Society (PTS) and Ford Service Info (FSI) are business-critical applications supporting vehicle diagnostics and service repair. It supports dealer technicians, plants, and independent repair shops around the globe that is part of Service Engineering Operations (SEO).


Team functions in a Hybrid Work Model.

Responsibilities


  • Develop & innovate new features that supports the Global Diagnostic Product Line in the Service Engineering Organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our solutions; support the production application and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed specifications
  • Design solutions that consider reuse opportunities and meet usability guidelines and corporate standards.
  • Improve application testing capabilities by implementing automated testing tools and best practices.
  • Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.
  • Serve as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops webservices, webpages, Rest/SOAP APIs, and microservices using Microsoft .Net MVC pages.
  • Create testing strategy, test cases, and test data as per system dependencies. Successful completion of functional testing in Dev/QA/Production environments.
  • Participate in feature and user story development, backlog refinement, and estimation / sizing activities as part of the team’s Agile methodology.
  • Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing and deployments.
  • Interact and work closely with product manager to devise solutions and break them down into incremental production-ready user stories


Qualifications


The minimum requirements we seek:


  • 5+ years’ experience creating designs and develops webservices, webpages, Rest / SOAP APIs, and microservices using Microsoft .Net technologies
  • 3+ years’ experience with Agile development
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • 5+ years’ experience with .Net technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study
  • 3+ years’ experience with Windows IIS Web Application Server


Our preferred requirements:


  • 3+ years’ experience with GitHub or equivalent source code control repositories
  • Exposure to automated testing concepts, tools, and frameworks
  • Experience with message queue tools such as Kafka
  • Experience working with diverse business customers and practices
  • 2+ years’ experience with Google Cloud Platform tools and services
  • 2+ years’ experience with IT Operations monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk
  • 3+ years’ experience with eCommerce services
  • Ability to support global time zones
  • 3+ years’ experience with Java technologies

Microsoft Windows .Net, MVC, Visual Studio, XML Core Services, webservices/microservices, API, MS SQL, GitHub, Dynatrace, Splunk, C#
