Job Description
At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance. WHOOP empowers users to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. Our wearable device tracks key physiological metrics such as heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and sleep quality to provide personalized insights into users' fitness, health, and recovery. Our Stress feature gives users insights into their mental state and helps them manage their stress.

As an intern with WHOOP's Health Team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that significantly impacts the health and well-being of WHOOP users. You will work closely with the Health Team to contribute to developing and improving WHOOP's stress monitoring capabilities. This is a 10-week internship that offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on personal and professional growth.

Throughout this 10-week internship, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, learn from experienced professionals, and gain hands-on experience in the field of stress monitoring. You will be exposed to cutting-edge technology and research in the health and wellness industry and have the chance to contribute to developing WHOOP's stress monitoring features. You will receive feedback and guidance from the Health Team and have the opportunity to develop new skills and grow personally and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to contribute to the overall development of WHOOP's stress monitoring capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Health Team to analyze and interpret data collected from WHOOP's stress monitoring features.

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or another programming language
  • Passion for health and wellness

Interested in the role, but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! At WHOOP, we believe there is much more to a candidate than what is written on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply.
